Wayne Matthew LaBenne, 60 of Spelter, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 2, 1958 in Clarksburg; the son of the late John William and Wilma June Starkey LaBenne.
Wayne is survived by his wife of thirty eight years, Tonya Lee LaBenne; two children, Gregory Wayne LaBenne and Kayla of New Milton and Lisa Nicole Pennington and J.P. of Spelter; two grandchildren, Elijah James Pennington of Spelter and Adalynn Grace LaBenne of New Milton; four siblings, Linda Thorn of Clarksburg, Virginia Stonebreaker and husband Danny of Lumberport, Mark LaBenne and his wife Wanda of Clarksburg and Elaine LaBenne of Clarksburg.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his four siblings, Gloria Schmidth, Corrinda LaBenne, John LaBenne Jr. and Kathleen LaBenne.
Wayne graduated from Liberty High School, Class of 1977. He worked for Rom Rog for forty two years as a mechanic. He loved working on cars, hunting, being on his boat, riding his Jet Ski, going to Flea Markets and making his own wine with his best friend Danny Drummond.
