Wayne passed away Monday February 9, 2009 at the Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer. He was born March 11, 1921 in Aberdeen, SD to Oscar and Hazel (Kimball) Erickson.
Wayne grew up and attended the Aberdeen school system. In October of 1942 Wayne entered the United States Navy and was a pilot during WW II. On February 8, 1948 he married Valeria M. Kivon who survives. From 1948 until 2003 Wayne owned and operated Erickson Studio’s.
He also was a member of Curtis Creek Country Club, a past Marion Township Trustee, a past member of the Rensselaer Chamber of Commerce and also attended St. Augustine Catholic Church.
He is survived by Christine (Don) DeLuke-Schenectady, NY, Karen (Mike) Tiede-Rensselaer, IN, Valerie (Gerald) Lasko-Culver, IN, Kimberly (Robert) White-Rensselaer, IN, 9 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and one infant granddaughter.
