Wayne L. Sweat passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015. Wayne was born on September 29, 1950, in Jacksonville, FL to the late James Wheeler, II and Dolores K. Sweat.
Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, grilling and cooking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James W. and Wileford Sweat, Sr., and Clifford and Lilian McKendree.
Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Merrilee Sweat; children, Laura Sweat, Shelley Wilson and Lisa Gardiner; grandchildren, Hayden Tawney, Jimmy Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, Cole Gardiner, Gabe Gardiner and Natalie Gardiner; brothers, Jimmy Sweat, Wendell Sweat, and Richard Sweat; nephew, David Sweat; and niece, Jennifer Sweat.
