Wayne Whiz Jung, 74, of O’Fallon, Ill., born August 18, 1932 in O’Fallon, Ill., died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, Ill. Wayne was a member of the O’Fallon United Church of Christ and retired from the City of O’Fallon as the City Sewage Plant Manager. He was also a member of the Laborer’s Local, AARP and served in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto & Dorothy, nee Neville, Jung, a granddaughter Amber Wright, a sister Jacqueline Rogers, father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry and Isabelle, nee Klein, Lotz and a brother-in-law James Klein.
Wayne is survived by his wife Theresa Marleen, nee Klein, Jung of O’Fallon, Ill., whom he married October 2, 1954 at O’Fallon United Church of Christ, a daughter Pamela (Danny) Wright of Lebanon, Ill., 2 sons, Mark (Jane) Jung of Belleville, Ill., Scott (Jenny) Jung of Troy, Ill., a sister Corrine Snyder of Swansea, Ill., a brother Rodney (Betty) Jung of Rogersville, MO., grandchildren, Jennifer and Ben Schroeder of Belleville, Ill., Tara Wright of Lebanon, Ill., Zachary, Tayler and Isabela Jung of Troy, Ill., 3 brothers-in-law, Gilbert (Audrey) Klein of Fairview Heights, Ill., Darvin (Delores) Klein of Belleville, Ill., Dwayn (B.J.) Klein of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn., American Diabetes Assn. or O’Fallon United Church of Christ.
