Wayne G. Siefer, 87, Anderson, passed away April 14, 2009 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness. He was born September 27, 1921 in Kent, Ohio, and resided in Anderson since 1930.

He served as a Major in the US Air Force Flying Tigers during WWII from 1941-1946. He worked for Guide Lamp from 1940-1941 and retired in March of 1978 from Container Corporation after 28 years of service. Wayne owned Wombold Duplicating & Printing for 26 years. He attended Park Place Church of God; was a member of Container Corp Retirees Breakfast Club and the Flying Tigers of WWII.

He is survived by his daughter, Shari & husband Larry Hurd of Alexandria; fiancee, Anya Chandler of Anderson; grandchildren, Shala Hurd and Shanna Hurd; great granddaughter, Sierra Hurd; nephews, Aaron Parsons, Stuart Parsons, Tim Siefer and Tom Siefer; niece, Pam Parsons Hughes and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Gene Lynam Siefer; parents, Howard & Esther Johnson Siefer; siblings, June Parsons, Vivian Howard, Neoma Smith and Raymond Siefer; brother-in-law, Roy Parsons and Cousin, Ralph Phile.
