Wayne Eugene Giddings was born on June 5, 1936 in Algona, Iowa and left his earthly home for his eternal home on January 14, 2017. Wayne was born to William Milton Giddings and Marie Helen Harris Giddings. His family moved to California in 1944 and eventually settled in Kerman, California where Wayne graduated from Kerman High School. In February 1956 he went to work for Pacific Telephone in Fresno where he met the love of his life, Mary Lucille White (Luci). They were married on September 28, 1957, moved to Sacramento in 1959, and raised 3 daughters. Wayne was a resident of Folsom at the time of his passing.

Wayne was student body president, college graduate, navy man, firefighter, photographer, painter, model, actor, singer, dance partner, clarinet player, realtor, man of God, and his families’ hero. Wayne was a man of integrity, honesty, charm, graciousness and a scandalous sense of humor. He was an avid reader, happiest with a book in his hands and everyone was amazed at his vocabulary. His strong wealth of knowledge made him a rich conversationalist, attentive and respectful. Wayne was the most intelligent person his family knew and simply put, nothing short of amazing.

He was preceded to heaven by his parents, brother Paul Giddings, sister Kathleen Giddings, and sister-in-law Shirley White. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of nearly 60 years, as well as daughters Cheryl Giddings and partner Frank Perry, Kathi Davi and husband Tony, Victoria Whitehead and husband Jeff; Granddaughters Mara Gaines and husband Aaron, Melody Zoller and husband Eli, Micaela Rubio and husband Jared, Samantha Hawley and husband Brandon; Grandsons Tim Whitehead, Morgan Davi and Stephen Carillo; Great-granddaughter Maggie Davi Zoller; Brother Marvin Giddings and wife Lana, Sisters-in-law Linda Giddings, Frankie Clark and husband David, Joyce Sullivan and husband R.J.; myriad cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to count, who all fiercely loved him.
