Wayne Eric Burkart, 54, of LaSalle, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Burkart was born July 30, 1959 at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle to Leroy H. and Elsie (Bosshart) Burkart. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School and LaSalle-Peru High School. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors, especially walking and hiking.
Survivors include his parents, Leroy and Elsie Burkart of Peru; five brothers, Gerald (Sandy) Burkart of Ottawa, Bill Burkart and Ronald Burkart both of LaSalle and Leroy T. (Diedre) Burkart and Steven Burkart both of Peru; two sisters, Regina (Tom) Gualandi of Utica and Laura Burkart of Downers Grove and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Pallbearers will be his brothers and Daniel Burkart, Bryan Michaelson, Jeremy Burkart, Corey Burkart, Stacy Gualandi and Jennifer Love.
