Wayne Arthur Shattuck
ROY – Wayne Arthur Shattuck, 62 passed away peacefully Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Roy, Utah.
He was born August 22, 1951 in Ft. Lee, Virginia to Arthur Herbert Shattuck and Hazel Elizabeth Morris.
He was raised and educated in Utah and graduated from Weber High School where he ran cross country track.
Wayne was active in Boy Scouts of America, receiving the highest attainable rank in the program of Eagle Scout.
Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.
He married Cynthia Ann White on February 24, 1973, in CA. They were blessed with two children. They were later divorced.
He met Dianne Robertson and they were married in 1998 and were later sealed in the Bountiful Temple in 2013.
He loved to camp, fish, hunt and spend time with his loved ones and friends. He took after his mother with a love of working in the yard and being outdoors.
Wayne attended San Diego State University and worked for Pitney Bowes in the Southwestern United States.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Dianne; a daughter, Jennifer Lynne Shattuck of, El Cajon, CA; son, Joseph William Shattuck of La Mesa, CA, one grandson, David; his Father, Arthur, of Jefferson City, Missouri; a Sister, Denise Clemonds (Bruce) of Jefferson City Missouri; and Brother, Robert (Ann) of Houston, Texas. He was also survived by his stepchildren, Jeannette Christensen, West Point, UT, Danielle Reeves, Layton, UT, Sid Carter, Pennsylvania; along with 10 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother James Allen Shattuck and daughter, Amy.
His family wishes to thank all of the health care and hospice works who helped Wayne manage his MS over the last several years as well as the many people who have prayed for him and his family.
