Wayne Archie Turner, 70 passed away Sept. 11, 2015 at home and surrounded by family after bravely battling cancer.

Wayne was born April 4, 1945 in Boise, ID to Archie and Una Turner. He was the second of four children.

After returning from boot camp, Wayne married Vienna Louise Van Hook November 27, 1965 who he met on a summer camping trip at one of his favorite places, Deadwood Reservoir. Wayne and Vienna had two children, Wade and Shelly, both bringing extraordinary happiness and sadness as both children passed away shortly after birth. Love eventually came to Wayne and Vienna in their adoptive daughter, Bryana Sue. Though the marriage did not last, Wayne and Vienna remained friends.

Wayne later met and married his second wife, PJ—Patricia Kaye Parr, on March 6, 1982. They lived nine years together with PJ’s daughter, Jodi Stocker.

Wayne made many good friends during his lifetime, but Rick Christopher and Lori Hines have been dubbed honorary family members and were a big part of Wayne’s life.

Later he enjoyed a loving relationship with Anne Hervey with whom he built “A slice of heaven” in the Turner family’s original home. They had a great time together traveling and enjoying each other’s company living life to its fullest.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Una; son, Wade; daughters, Shelly and Bryana; and sister, Barbara Frentress.

Wayne will be survived by his partner, Anne Hervey; brothers, Jerry (Leona) and Larry (Ramona) Turner; brother-in-law, Allen Frentress; nephews, Kiley (Laura), Dustin (Deborah), and Tori (Sarah) Turner, Curtis (Debra) Wiker, and Dennis (Debbie) Wiker; great nieces, Stephanie, Kimberly, Abigail, Maddi, and Lillian; great nephews, Preston and Tilton; great-great nieces, Danielle and Averie; Anne’s son, Boyd (Wendy) Huckabay; daughter, Teresa Reed; and grandchildren, Jordan and Lindsay, Emma and Ethan.

Family and friends will celebrate his life on Sept. 26, 2015 with an open house starting at 1:00 p.m. at 3212 N. Tamarack Dr., Boise, ID.
