Wayne A. Vogel, 74, died March 9, 2012, after an extended illness. Born, July 30, 1937, he was a lifetime resident of Anderson.
Wayne was President of Highland High School’s first graduating class and spent the last Wednesday of each month with these lifelong friends. After retirement from Guide in 1992, he and Delores opened Worldwide Gifts in Meadowbrook.
Wayne enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling with his kids, and listening to music at the Atlanta Music Hall.
Survivors include his son, Wayne Vogel Elena of Cicero; daughters, Denise Wadsworth & husband, Richard Blair of Monrovia, CA & Maria Clifton Grady of W. Lafayette; grandchildren, Jacob Blum, Reissen Blum, Chandler Clifton & Felisha Clifton; two nieces, Karen Vogel & Betsy Searbriel; and a nephew, Frank Vogel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Vogel; parents, Frank & Jessie Berry Vogel; and brother, Lowell “Joe” Vogel.
