Wayne A. Cousens Sr, age 70 years, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 14, 2021 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was the husband of Lauren (Gauthier) Cousens. The son of the late Roland S. and Thelma L. (Cleaves) Cousens. Born on April 15, 1951 in Boston. Wayne grew up in Hanson where he graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Wayne worked as a maintenance coordinator for 41 years for Citgo Petroleum in Braintree. He had a great love for anything that had to do with fishing, either freshwater or the ocean. A long-standing tradition of vacationing with Lauren in Aruba was a yearly highlight for Wayne. Wayne was an excellent painter and instructor who loved painting on canvas. Wayne always had music playing and love to dance while painting. He loved to paint with his grandchildren, several family members and friends at his home. Wayne was a registered Kansas City Barbeque Judge who enjoyed cooking and of course, barbecuing. He enjoyed participating in barbeque competitions. Wayne was a witty storyteller and comedian. He could make an entire room laugh with his stories. He also enjoyed playing golf. In addition to his loving wife Lauren of 23 years, he is also survived by his children Jacqueline Casabo of Naples, FL, Wayne Cousens Jr. and his wife Jessica of Brockton, Danielle Packard and her husband Donald of Brockton, Nathaniel Silva of Marshfield, Courtney Mallard and her husband Jason of Swansboro, NC, Ronald Caggiano Jr. and his wife Alicia of Sharon, and Rachel Caggiano of Kingston. Also survived by his siblings, James Cousens and his wife Susan of Hanson, Debra Taylor of Whitman, Linda Wakelin of Mansfield and the late Shirley Robinson of Halifax. He also leaves 20 grandchildren, his mother-in-law Evelyn Gauthier and many nieces and nephews.
