Warren L. James, 74, of Cassopolis, died Friday, June 10, 2011 in Lakeland Health Care, Berrien Center. He was born September 4, 1936 in Cassopolis to Vernell and Zerel (Coker) James.
He served in the US Army.Warren is survived by three sons, Rodney James, Randy (Beth) James, and Edwin (Sheena) Johnson, Jr., all of Cassopolis; one sister, Sonja Wright of Silver Spring, Maryland; many grandchildren, including Michelle James and Brandon James; two brothers, Michael Dennis (Chereaux) James of Elkhart, Indiana, and Cornell Eugene (Juana) James of Cassopolis; and sister-in-law, Judy James of South Bend, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Michelle “Shelly” James; and one brother, Ronald V. James.
