Warren L. Garner, age 88 of Midland died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late Clyde and Vernice Garner was born May 10, 1926 in Port Huron. Warren served with the US Army during WWII as a PVT 1st Class, Service Company, 39th Infantry and was honorable discharged in 1946. On May 24, 1953 he married Shirleen Satterfield in Indiana. After 59 years of marriage she predeceased him November 10, 2012.
Warren was a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Chemistry. He moved to Midland in 1955 where he began his career with the Dow Chemical Company as an analytical chemist. Warren was a long time member of First United Methodist Church, where he and his wife Shirleen were very involved with the Youth Ministry where they assisted on many field trips with group. He also enjoyed traveling and sharing his knowledge with young people.
Surviving is his best friends Fred Gray, Gary Bobcock; caregiver, Chance Garner and many other friends.
