He is survived by his spouse Retta A. Newhouse of Greenwood, IN; six children, Diana Sue Emberson, Michael Dean Newhouse, Patrick Lee Newhouse, Alan Dale Barger, Rita Jo Abram, and Dennis Eugene Barger; and six grandchildren, Beau Whalley, Christy Emberson, Jason Newhouse, Amy Newhouse, Wendy Newhouse, and Kari Newhouse.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Findley and Woollen E. Newhouse and two siblings, Evelyn Eastburn and Hugh Newhouse.
