On October 23, 2006, Warren Graham Via Sr. of Glen Burnie passed away at the age of 86. Beloved husband and best friend for 65 years to Eloise V. Via (nee Wetzel); Loving father of Warran Jr. and Barbara Via Peters; Caring brother of Katherine Fields, Gwen Bostic and Donald and Harry Via; Cherished grandfather of four and great-grandfather of four. He is predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. Warren was born in Craig County, Virginia, but has resided in Glen Burnie since 1964. He worked as a Shipping Supervisor for Olin Chemical for 30+ years before retiring. Warren served his country in the United Stated Army during WWII and was a Drill Instructor and Demolition Expert. He was a member of the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge and guardian of Jobs Daughters. He also served as Clerk of Session and Elder Ameritus at Harundale Presbyterian Church, as well as being a member of the church choir. Warren was instrumental in founding the “McDonald’s Ministry” through his church. This ministry was comprised of gentlemen who would volunteer their talents to help the church and members of the community. Warren also enjoyed woodworking. He was a generous man who truly enjoyed helping others.
