Warren Francis O’Rourke passed away on October 4, 2016. He is survived by his wife of fiftyone years, Carol Harvey O’Rourke; sons, Michael O’Rourke and Thom O’Rourke; grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah O’Rourke; great granddaughter, Taegan Beck. He also leaves a sister, Sylvia Torp; niece, Kelly Dunbar (Donnie); nephew, Arlen Torp, III; and two great nephews.
Born in Mobile, AL., Mr. O’Rourke graduated from Spring Hill College and completed his graduate degrees at The University of Alabama. For forty years, Mr. O’Rourke fondly known by students as Mr. O., worked at Jefferson State Community College, where he taught English, was coordinator of night classes, and supervisor of foreign students.
