Warren “Dusty” Rhodes, 82, North Ft. Myers, passed away November 14, 2010 at Wuesthuff Hospice Care Center-Ft. Myers, Florida after a brief illness.
He was born February 2, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in Anderson most of his life before moving to Florida. Warren served his country in the US Army. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 35 years of service. Warren attended South Meridian Church of God, was a longtime member of Edgewood Country Club and a lifetime member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife whom he married December 15, 1989, Barbara Spratt Rhodes; daughters, Terri Ussery Gerald of Washington, North Carolina and Kathy Rhodes of Anderson; sons, Brad Rhodes Connie of Denver, Colorado and Bruce Rhodes Katie of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Jerry Rhodes Paula of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Cori Tracey of Tampa, Florida, Matt Lindley of Columbia, South Carolina, Josh Lindley of Columbia, South Carolina, Danielle McClendon of Anderson, Dylan McClendon of Anderson, Daryl McClendon of Anderson, Brittany Queeney Patrick of New York, Cassie Rhodes of Denver, Colorado, Nathan Rhodes Tiffany of Pendleton, Kaitlyn Rhodes of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kylie Rhodes of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one great grandchild, Emersyn Rhodes of Pendleton.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Nancy L. Rhodes, son, David K. Rhodes; parents, Hubert & Rebecca Faye Decker Rhodes and brother, Tom Rhodes.
