Warren Haywood Lambert, better known as “Bird” was born December 24, 1955 to the late Clara Mebane Lambert and Robert Lambert, Sr. in Mebane, North Carolina.
He departed this life on May 14, 2020 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina following a brief illness. Warren attended Eastern Alamance High School, Mebane, North Carolina and following his graduation he enlisted into the United States Army where he served with bravery and was Honorably Discharged. Prior to his Honorable Discharge, he was stationed at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Warren was employed with Total Electric, LLC.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years: Elizabeth Benbow Lambert; four brothers: Larry Lambert (Deb) of Mebane, North Carolina, Ronnie Lambert (Cheryl) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Corkey Lambert (Pat) of Graham, North Carolina and Stanley Lambert (Georgia) of McCleansville, North Carolina; three sisters: Gloria Lambert Gilchrist of Mebane, North Carolina, Bertha Lambert Rogers and Tammy T. Lambert both of Burlington, North Carolina; an uncle, Andy Jones; father-in-law, Isaiah Benbow; four sisters-in-law: Wilma Vincent (Edgar), Shirely Crisp (Pete), Dorothy Benbow and Mary Ann Graves (Rodney); 1 brother-in-law, Lawrence Benbow (Lavaris) as well as a host of nieces & nephews other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a two siblings: Robert Lambert Jr. and Nancy Lambert Woods and mother-in-law, Patricia Tinnin Benbow.
