Ward F. Osborn, 75, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2005, in Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle.
Ward was born on July 15, 1930, in South Bend, Indiana, the third son to the late Thomas and Orabelle (Brewer) Osborn, and was a lifelong area resident.
In 1948, he graduated from New Carlisle High School. On July 10, 1951, he married Leigh Whitesel.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki (Mark) Watson of Winter Springs, Florida; two sons, Ray A. (Cecelia) Osborn of Casselberry, Florida and Rod (Robin) Osborn of Newnan, Georgia; five grandchildren, Kevin Osborn, serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Nimitz, Rachel Casarow, Rebekah Osborn, Chelsea Osborn and Sam Watson; his sister, Linda (Rick) Garwick of New Carlisle; by five brothers, Wayne (Linda) Osborn of Granger, Indiana, Walter Osborn of Denver, Colorado; Wyburn (Deanna) Osborn of Tavares, Florida; Willard (Pam) Osborn of Charlotte, North Carolina and Warren “Doc” (Margie) Osborn of South Bend, and by several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Osborn.
Ward worked in construction maintenance for Laurel Homes for 10 years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post #297, New Carlisle.
