Waneta M. Shaffer, 92, formerly of Cogan Station, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Valley View Nursing Center.
Waneta had worked at the former Grammer Jewelry Store and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Born December 23, 1918 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of James Colt and Laura Mae VanHouten Harrison.
Surviving are her daughters, Kay C. (Richard) VanHorn of Allenwood and Connie L. (Anthony) Tryanski of Lederach; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Waneta was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Shaffer; nine brothers and four sisters.
