Tekin, Wanda Glowacki Tekin, age 83, formerly of Shelton, passed away March 6, 2005 in Maefair Health Care Center. Mrs. Tekin was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 29, 1921 and resided in Norwalk the first part of her married life. She lived in Shelton for over twenty-one years. After caring for her husband for thirteen years, she worked for Bradlees and retired as a sales manager. Wanda was an avid gardener who loved to read, but most of all, she loved her family. She fought a valiant battle against Parkinson’s disease for twenty-nine years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond J. Tekin Sr., her infant daughter, Kathleen Mary Tekin , her grandson, Raymond Cerino and her great-granddaughter, Lisa Cerino. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie Glowacki. Survivors include her devoted children, Barbara Cerino and her husband Joseph of Wakefield , R.I. and Raymond J. Tekin Jr. and his wife, Linda of Lanesboro, MA, Deborah Tyszka and her husband, Michael of Shelton, CT, eleven cherished grandchildren and eight loving great-grandchildren, three sisters, Loretta Jupin of Bridgeport, Bertha Johnston of Bridgeport and Helen Zukowkski of Nichols.
