Wanda Schroeder, 91, of Union Pier, Michigan, died Thursday, November 2, 2006 with family at her side.Mrs. Schroeder was born November 8, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Julia (Koza) Sulek and moved to Michigan 74 years ago. On November 21, 1936, she married Benjamin Schroeder in Three Oaks, Michigan. He preceded her in death June 9, 1979. Mrs. Schroeder was employed as a waitress for many years at the Czech Villa later known as Skips Other Place, Union Pier. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Three Oaks, Michigan and the Sunshine Club of Union Pier. Mrs. Schroeder enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, walking on the beach and visiting with people. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her loving grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Richard (Kathy) of LaPorte, Indiana, Robert (Cindy) of Baroda, Michigan and Raymond of Union Pier; grandchildren, Kirsten, Kelly, Rita, Brian, Paul and Ricky; great grandchildren, Cole, Zachary, Samantha, Braxton and Tyler and her sister, Sophie Prybella of Jonesville, Michigan. Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by her grandson John, sister, Helen Homer and by her brother, Edward Sulek.
