Wanda Neville Perry, 72, of Marietta passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She was born March 30, 1949 in Savannah, GA to the late Wendell Neville & Lila Hall Neville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” James Perry. Growing up in Garden City just outside of Savannah, Wanda was active in the church, enjoyed school, and loved extracurricular activities. She developed a love of music and began teaching piano lessons after school at the age of 12. She later graduated Groves High School at the top of her class and enrolled at the University of Georgia in the fall of 1968. She graduated from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication in 1972 with Honors. During her successful career in marketing, she met the love of her life, Bill, and they married in September of 1980. They raised their two boys, Kevin and Lyle, in Marietta, GA and lived there until Bill’s passing in May of 2020. She cherished her beloved hometown of Savannah and enjoyed spending many summers with her boys on Tybee Island. Wanda was also an avid reader, enjoyed politics and was a huge Georgia Bulldog Football fan. She was a beloved wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
