Wanda M. Lowe, 83, of Springfield, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield.
She was born April 20, 1927, in Jacksonville the daughter of Cecil and Irene Birdsell Hopper. She married Lyle Lowe on July 31, 1949, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2000.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Rick (Marla) Lowe of Pawnee, and Cheri Judd, Terry (Brenda) Lowe and Roni Lowe, all of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Randy Wayne Lowe; and one brother, Gerald Wayne Hopper.
Mrs. Lowe was a 1945 graduate of Jacksonville High School and then graduated from MacMurray College. She was a proud mother and homemaker.
