Wanda Lee Campbell, 79, of Meredosia, died Monday, January 8, 2018, at her home.
She was born Apr. 26, 1938, in Scott County, the daughter of Walter and Mary Elsie Thresher Cumby. She married Greg Campbell on July 28 1956, in Bluffs.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Greg; two sons and three daughters, Curt (Cheryl) Campbell and Mark (Lynelle) Campbell, both of Meredosia, Stephanie Goebel of Springfield, Jennifer Humes of Mt. Sterling, and Elizabeth (Gary) Broyles of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Woodson and Frances (Billie) Reuter of Bluffs. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Johnson; and one brother, Raymond Cumby.
Mrs. Campbell was a 1956 graduate of Bluffs High School. She worked at The Boatel in Naples for many years, and later worked for and retired from Bound to Stay Bound in Jacksonville. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Winchester. Wanda was an avid outdoors person, and enjoyed flower gardening and hummingbirds. She especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports and taking them to the nature preserve in Meredosia.
