Wanda Jean Weast passed away March 27th, 2015 at a Boise nursing home after a long illness with dementia, surrounded by her husband and family.
Jean was born on March 3, 1929 in Gaylord, Kansas to Mr. and Mrs. Preston Eller. She married her high school sweetheart Robert Weast on March 10, 1946. They had five children: Larry, Barbara, Kathy, Karl and Richard.
Jean had many talents which were playing the organ, needlepoint and was a wonderful cook. Everyone always asked for her famous chocolate cake.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Loren, Wayne, Arden Eller, Pauline Grover, Norma Sugden, her son Larry and daughter Barbara.
She is survived by her husband Robert, sons Karl and Richard Weast and daughter Kathy Hall and her best friend and sister Ilene Stetson. Also surviving her are 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. As all her grandchildren would say, “she’s the best Grandma ever!” and she loved them all.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Emerson House, Willow Park and the Hearts for Hospice for Jean’s loving care.
