Wanda Jean (McRae) Beineke, 92, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, in Franklin, Indiana where she had been a resident since 1976. Wanda was born on November 20, 1922, in Marion, Indiana to John Cecil and Bessie (Radabaugh) McRae.
She graduated from Marion High School in the class of 1940. She attended St. Petersburg (FL) Junior College and graduated from the Methodist School of Nursing in Indianapolis in 1943 as a Registered Nurse (RN.) Wanda married Arthur Frank Beineke on May 6, 1944 in Indianapolis. Her professional career in a variety of settings included a hospital, industrial, and private duty nursing and healthcare administration.
She was a founding member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Marion and a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Franklin.
Survivors include three children, John A. (Marla) Beineke, Amanda (Michael) Meade, and Paula (Martin) Garrett; six grandchildren; Eric (Shavon) Hix, Colin Beineke, Kaitlin Beineke, Michael Meade, Christopher Meade and Jolie Meade and great-grandson, Jace Hix.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
