Fay was always a city girl at heart that fell in love and married a country boy. Her conversation and memories were quite often directed towards her home and family of the past. She loved family be them by blood or by marriage to her family was family, and whom she loved with all her heart and to them always kept the doors to her home open. Her philosophy was often misunderstood by many, but to her family was always welcome regardless the circumstances, and that’s just who she was.
Dub and Fay extended this open home policy to friends also, to which they offered a place to stay over the years. Despite being of humble origins and means what they had they would offer to those in need.
