Walter Wendell Brown Sr, 90, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully with family on November 1, 2022. Walter was born on September 19, 1932, in Lakeland, Florida, to Robert A Brown and Alice Rowan McClain. Walter was born at Morrell Memorial Hospital. He attended Lakeland High School.
Walter joined the United States Navy at 17 Years old on April 21, 1950. He served on the U.S.S Rodgers DD876 in the Korean Conflict and was in the warzone for 14 months.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sharon Wetherill (2009). He is survived by his loving wife of 43 Years, Mary Bobbie Brown; his sons Walter Wendell Brown Jr (Tina Brown) and Robert Brown; Sister-in-law Vicky Little; Stepson Spencer L Davis; Step-daughter Sheri Smith (Robert Smith); grandchildren Heather Flory (Nate Flory), Amanda Brick (Jay Brick), Robert Brown, and Aaron Smith.
