Walter Washington Puckett, age 82, of Buford, GA passed away January 10, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Donna Jean Tatum Puckett; parents, Leonard and Mardell Brown Puckett; brothers, Harold Puckett, Ezmal Puckett; sister, Georgiann Payne.
He is survived by his children, Ronnie (Angela) Puckett, Sugar Hill, GA, Keitih (Rosey) Puckett, Flowery Branch, GA, Barry (Maggie) Puckett, Buford, GA, Karen (Darryl) McGinnis, Flowery Branch, GA; seventeen grandchildren, Preston, Justin, Brandon, Morgan, Nicholas, Lindsey, Jeremy, Kevin, Leah, Jeremy, Ryan, Megan, Jeffery, Tasha, Beau, Ashley, David; eighteen great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jackson, Audrina, Braxton, Emily, Catre, Tucker, Bentley, Hudson, Evie, Elis, Izak, Hailey, Connie, Eliah, Harlee, Dallas, Madelene; sister-in-law, Carrie Mae Puckett, Gainesville, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Puckett was born August 7, 1938 in Buford, GA.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Mr. Puckett was retired from Goldkist Feedmill in Flowery Branch, GA for over 30 years. He was a member of Buford Church of God where he was one of The Elders and a former Deacon of the church. Mr. Puckett was a member of Buford American Legion Post 127 and was a Mason and member of Buford Masonic Lodge 292 F.AM. He was a member of the Prime Timers Senior Citizen group.
