Walter George “Tiny” (Bud) Rowley of Hardy, NE the son of Walter and Thelma (Wyscaver) Rowley was born September 6, 1938 at Webber, Kansas. He passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 78 years 4 months and 5 days.
As a child Walter grew up south of Superior, Nebraska. He attended country school at Valley View and Superior school. Walter then served with the United States Navy enlisting at the age of 17. After four years of active duty he was discharged September 4, 1959. On April 20, 1966 Walter was united in marriage to Linda (Fuller) Roberts at the Fairbury Courthouse. Walter brought to this union a son and a daughter; while Linda brought a daughter and two sons and then they were blessed with the birth of a son to complete the family.
Walter was employed with Mid-America Dairy for 8 years, he later worked for Herman Brothers for 18 years and finally was employed by the Village of Hardy from 1990 until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and woodworking.
He is preceded in death by his parents, step mother Colleen Chester; brother Bill Rowley, sister Juanita (Nita) Ulsh; and brother-in-law Tom Wilson; step brothers Daniel and Kelly Griffith, step sister Julie Moore.
Survivors include his wife Linda Rowley of Hardy, NE; children: Lee Ann Mumm and husband Brent of Chester, NE; Donnie Rowley and wife Roxie of Grand Island, NE; Jim Roberts and wife Mary of Hardy, NE: Donna Middleton and husband Gary of Lincoln, NE; Tim Roberts and wife Melissa of Hardy, NE; and Walter W. Rowley and wife Roberta of Syracuse, NE; brother Dean Rowley and wife Sandra of Hardy, NE; sister-in-law Rose Rowley of Superior, NE; sister-in-law Lois Wroughton (Don) of Nelson, NE: sister-in-law Louise Burton of Nelson, NE; brother-in-law Dennis Fuller (Sheryl) of Hardy, NE; sister-in-law Sally Bissing (Rick) of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law Danny Dee Fuller (Dianna) of Superior, NE; brother-in-law Warren Fuller (Wilma) of Hardy, NE; sister-in-law Patty Wilson of Nelson, NE; brother-in-law Jimmy Fuller (Judy) of Superior, NE; brother-in-law Darrell Fuller (Tina) of Superior, NE; sister-in-law Debra Walker (Mike) of Superior, NE; step brothers Larry Griffith; and Jeff Griffith; 35 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, nieces , nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
