Walter W. Simpson, age 84, of Trumbull, died June 5, 2006 in Lord Chamberlain. Mr. Simpson was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime Trumbull resident. He graduated from the University of Connecticut and did graduate work at Yale University. Mr. Simpson was a retired quality control engineer for Power Authority of New York. He was a WWII army veteran who survived the Battle of Okinawa. An avid traveler, he also enjoyed woodworking, reading and writing. He authored a book, Run to the Sun, soon to be published. He was recently predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice Ethel Sabina Smith Simpson. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Alison Parrett of Colchester and her fiancAC., Chad Compolattaro, his granddog, Maxwell and several nieces and nephews.
