Walter Ubiles of Diamond City, Arkansas, passed to his Heavenly Father earlier this week. He suffered from a diabetic condition he had battled with courage and quiet dignity for most of his life.  

He is survived by his brother, Joseph R. Ubiles of New York, his children, Aiyesha of Long Island, New York, Aiyoka Kellam, Daquon Smash of Atlanta, Georgia and son Rasheed of Seattle, Washington, grandchildren, Jordan, Teyana Ubiles of Auburn, New York and Shiann Kelly of Ithaca, New York who also gave him his first great grandchildren, Nevaeh McKoy, & Malachi Kelly, his sweetheart, Cleo Grace, Avril Brown, Betty Ubules and many friends. Tony Marks, whom he called his son of the heart, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, Anna and their daughter Phoenix, cared for him during his last months.

Walter was predeceased by both his parents, Joseph R. Ubiles, Sr. and mother, Norma Rhea Silvera Ubiles and son, Olukun Jose Ubiles.

Walter lived in New York State most of his life.

He loved watching action movies, riding his scooter, barbeques, and fishing.  He has continued to open his home to those who needed one.  He enjoyed the quiet life in Diamond City and the peacefulness of the waters of Bull Shoals Lake.
