Walter “Ray” Ambrose, Jr., 75, of Glen Burnie and previously of Brooklyn Park, MD passed away on April 18, 2011 at Harbor Hospital. Ray was born in Baltimore, MD in 1935 to the late Violet and Walter Raymond Ambrose. He served in the US Navy Reserves where he retired after 22 years of service. He worked as a Baltimore City Police Officer for 26 years, retiring in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Ambrose, just 3 months shy of 54 years; his children, Angie Miller of Severn, MD, Bryan Ambrose of Annapolis, MD and Tina Dorsey of Martinsburg, WV; 2 sisters, Esther Kreek of Missouri and Hazel Sorrentino of Linthicum, MD; 6 grandchildren, Shannon Ambrose, Justin Dorsey, Amanda Miller, Corey Dorsey, Carly Miller and Ashley Dorsey; and 1 great-grandchild, Cameryn Dorsey.
