Walter R. Spack, age 84, of Salem, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Circle of Care in Salem, Ohio. He was born October 24, 1931 in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late John and Sophia (Arbogast) Spack. He was a 1950 graduate of Salem High School and worked at Lincoln Machine as a Machinist and retired in 1992. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Salem Saxon Lodge Branch #19, where he served as officer for many years.

Walter was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include three sisters, Catherine Sanor of Salem, Helen Aeling of Minerva, and Dorothy Hahn of Homeworth; three brothers, George Spack Sr. of Salem, Henry (Flo) Spack Sr. of Salem, and Paul (Ann) Spack of Palm Harbor, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Michael, and Carl Spack; and several nieces and nephews.
