Walter R. Novitski Jr., 88, of Peru, passed away May 12, 2016 at home.
Mr. Novitski was born April 17, 1928 in LaSalle to Walter and Veronica (Stasiak) Novitski. He was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School. He married Louise Broset on June 3, 1950 at Immaculate Conception Church in Spring Valley.
Mr. Novitski was a member of St. Josephs Church in Peru. He worked at American Nickeloid in Peru for 48 year, retiring as a line supervisor. He was a dedicated and noble man. He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful smile and laugh. He was a mans man who wasnt afraid to be sentimental and shed an appropriate tear of joy. He created, enjoyed and kept holiday traditions alive with his family. He was bigger than life and enjoyed a good full life. He touched the hearts of everyone who knew him and his family was his life. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; three children, Dave (Shari) Novitski of Mahomet, Steve (Dawn) Novitski of Champaign and Diane (Doreen Ublish) Novitski of LaSalle; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
