Walter Warren Parker, Sr., passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Huntsville Hospital.
Son of the late Hosea and Margaret Parker. Brother of the late Hosea Albert Parker. Grandfather of the late Jared William McGee. He was 83, a native and life long resident of Slidell, LA and resided in Madison for the last 5 years.
Beloved husband of the late Jeanne Terral Parker. Survived by his 5 children and families; Kenneth D. Parker and wife Janice of Lacombe, LA, Brigitte Ann Parker of Lacombe, La, Vanessa P. McGee and husband Bill of Slidell, LA, Walter W. parker, Jr. and wife Dawn of Fairhope, AL and Kim P. Brown and husband Everett of Madison, AL. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He served his country in the US Navy, retired as a US Postal Carrier and was a member of First Baptist Church in Slidell, LA. He was 50 year member of the Slidell Masonic Lodge No. 311 F & AM.
