WALLINGFORD – Walter P. Sawallich Jr., 60, of Wallingford, beloved companion of Susan (Peters) Haag, departed this life as the result of an accident, on Monday, July 23, 2012.
Walt was born on December 22, 1951 in New Haven, CT, son of the late Walter and Lauretta (Wetmore) Sawallich. He owned and operated J.R.’s Hauling in Wallingford. He was employed by Tayco, Artic Trucking, and Tony’s Trucking. Walt was a former Cub Scout Leader and a board member of the Wallingford Recycling Committee. In his spare time he was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed model railroading.
