Walter N. Dreyfus died on July 10, 2018, in Greenwood, IN.  He was 95 years old.  He retired in 1993 from Jim G. Ferguson and Associates in Evanston, IL where he headed the newspaper department.

Walter was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II, receiving battle stars for the invasions of Sicily, Italy and France.  He was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. Walter was honorably discharged.  He also received the French Legion of Honour medal as a liberator of France in 2014.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Catherine.  He is survived by his two sons, Gordon of Dallas, TX and Mark (Lindsay) of Crystal Lake, IL, two grandchildren, Corley (Brian) Davis of Mequon WI, and Peter (Alice) of Las Vegas NV, four great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Indy and Joanna Davis of Mequon, WI and Harrison Dreyfus of Las Vegas, NV.
