Walter M. Gehm “Sonny” of Beverly, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Masonic Home of NJ in Burlington Township at the age of 88.
Mr. Gehm was born in Hoboken NJ, and at the age of 4 he lived at the Masonic Home as an orphan, after the passing of his parents. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during World War II. His favorite pastime was watching the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers on t.v.
He was a proud Beverly resident and served on council. He worked for and retired from Griffin Pipe after many years of service. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years Rose Gehm (Enzana) he is survived by their children: Lenee’ Miller (Marlton, NJ), Martin (Linda) Gehm of Burlington Township, Rosemary (John) Diesenbruch of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren: Lauren Ashbaugh, Matthew Diesenbruch, Jennifer (Eric) Sikorski, Andrew Gehm and Jenna, Krysta, Joey Miller. He was also the beloved great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren.
