Walter Lee Kennedy, known as Papa to his grandchildren, age 71, passed away Friday morning at home. He is the son of the late John and Hazel Kennedy, and the husband of Joanne Taylor Kennedy. He had worked for Kemp Furniture for several years, and had retired from the County of Wayne as an electrician. He owned Walter Kennedy Electric. He was a member of Southern Wayne Country Club, and enjoyed Friday morning breakfast at Bo Jangles with his golfing buddies. Walter loved helping people.
