Walter J. Larkins, 94, of Linthicum, passed away on February 9, 2018. He was born in Baltimore to the late Joseph and Maria (Zelner) Larkins. He graduated from Edison Vocational High School and attended Catonsville Community College. Walter served in the Army Air Force for three years and served at Camp Dix, Panama, Asia Pacific and received four battle stars.
He worked as an apprentice draftsman and later received his professional engineer’s license. He went on to work as a civil engineer at Baltimore Gas & Electric Co., retiring after 43 years of service. He was a Communicant of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and enjoyed exercise, crabbing, boating, photography and wine making. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Mary (Ward) Larkins in 2002 and his grandson in 1987.
Walter is survived by his four children; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his special friend, Veronica Majerowicz.
