Walter Henry Staack, born on June 16, 1926, was a native of Colorado and passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Walter was survived by his wife, Marjorie; children: Louise Maddox of Centennial, Linnea Maddox of Carlsbad, CA, Henry Staack of Bailey, CO, Step Daughters George Ann Halverson (Gary) of Centennial and Sharon Adams-Holt (Bruce) of Colorado Springs, CO. Walter was proceeded in death by his daughter Annine Staack in 2003 and Step Son Norman Adams 2010. Five grandchildren: Chris Maddox, (Amy,)Laurie Porter, Chad Maddox, (Heather), Kim McGrath, (Jeremy), KiAundra Staack and 9 great-grandchildren.
Walter served in World War II in the Pacific Islands. He worked excavating and constructing the Cherry Creek Dam and was owner of Staack Construction, which he worked on over thirty golf courses, many in the Colorado area. He was an honorary Board Member of the FRAPA Tractor club and Colorado Old Iron.
