Walter H. Williams, 84, of Harwich and formerly of Upton, died Friday morning, June 9, 2017, at home. He was the husband of Martha R. (Wohlfahrt) Williams, who died two years ago after 61 years of marriage.
Mr. Williams was born in Springfield, the son of the late Harold and Florence (Barrett) Williams, and was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield. An Army veteran, he worked as a lab technician for Raytheon. He had lived in Upton for 40 years before moving to Harwich in 2002. He was active with Upton Boy Scout Troop 132, serving as chair of the Troop Committee, and especially enjoyed hiking and other outdoor activities. He also served many years as an EMT in Upton.
He leaves four children, Leslie Cosgro of Millville, and Jeffrey, Tracy, and Kimberly Williams, and a grandson Lucan Williams, all of Upton.
