Walter H. Lemons, 76, has joined his lovely wife, Marilyn, in heaven on June 2, 2013. He was born on Jan. 13, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., to Walter and Helen Lemons. After a short courtship, he married Marilyn on Jan. 24, 1959, and together they raised a wonderful family. He served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force as he proudly served his country including the Vietnam and Korean Wars. After retirement, he was employed by Rocky Bayou Country Club and Jerry E. Nutt, DDS and Associates. He enjoyed all types of sports, especially golf. He was a great story teller and never tired of telling his war stories to whoever would listen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Lemons; brothers, Charles and Mike Lemons; sister, Helen Geyer; and his wife of 52 years, Marilyn Lemons. He is survived by his four children, Bob Lemons (wife, Lynn), Tim Lemons, Don Lemons (wife, Dawn), and Luan Mullins (husband, Kerry); 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Tiffany, Jennifer, T.J, Joshua, Zachery, Chris, Matthew, Mary, Michael, and Brandi; and three great-grandchildren.
