Walter Evans Searles passed away at Carrington Place in Baton Rouge, LA on Friday June 5, 2015 at the age of 71. A native of New Orleans, LA, he is survived by his brothers, Willie Searles (identical twin), Donald Ray Taplin. Rickey Taplin, and sisters, Jacqueline Searles, Rita Faye Humphrey and Sandray Bell; his aunt Ophelia Searles Evans; and his niece, friend and caregiver Virlea Jones. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Cressy and Evans Searles. He will be missed by family and friends.
