Walter E. “Sonny” DeHaven, 70, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 9th, 2020 in Greenwood, Indiana.
Sonny was born on August 15th, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Dale E. DeHaven and Hazel Marie (Price) DeHaven.
Sonny was employed at Coca Cola for 35 years and worked as a fork lift operator until his retirement at the age of 62. Music was his passion and he loved to play his Gibson 6-string guitar in the “Country Sound Band.” Along with playing music, Sonny enjoyed to spend his time gaming, doing yard work, and giving a helping hand to his neighbors.
Sonny is survived by his two sisters, Marguerite “Margie” DeHaven, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Diane DeHaven (Peter) Rompilla, of Franklin, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Sonny was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his brother, Frank E. DeHaven.
