Walter DeWayne Hill, 66, of Anderson, passed away on December 12, 2019 at Northview Health and Living.
He was born on December 4, 1953 in Vallejo, California to Walter and Dorothy Hill and resided most of his life in Anderson. Walter graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1972. He served his country in the US Marines as a Military Policeman and retired from St. John’s Hospital after 15 years. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which he loved Jehovah very much. He loved cooking, eating, music, movies, fishing and going crabbin’ and was a wonderful chess player.
Walter is survived by his loving spouse of 29 years LaTressa Hill, children, LaTasha Hill-Reed, Dion (Christal) Hill, Sr.,and Dorian Hill, siblings, Kathy (Henry) Johnson, Dana (Yvette) Hill, Dale (Regina) Hill, Devlin Hill, grandchildren, ZaKavia, ZyAsha, Keion, Davion, Jamylah, Lanyah, and Dion, aka D.J, Jr., great-grandchildren, Kahlise, and Braxton, special cousins, Becky Hill, Robert Williams and Phil Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, siblings David Hill and Regina Hill-Jordan and best friends Henry Smith and Charles Fluellen.
