To this union were born four children, Brian, Annette, Brenda and Julie. Walt and Maureen made their home in the Menan area where Walt worked for different farmers around the area moving pipe and farming. In 1969, they moved to Riverton, Wyoming, where they lived for the next 46 years. Walt worked as a heavy equipment operator for Pathfinder Mines. He could operate most of the heavy equipment at the open pit uranium mine. His favorites were the big dozers.
