Walter "Bud" Joseph Forrest, Jr.

Bud was born in Detroit and raised in Highland Park Michigan the son of an Automobile Mechanic. He was the third son of Walter Joseph and Charlotte Forrest. Both brothers were deceased when Bud arrived in 1930.
So how did Walter get his nickname?  His favorite aunt nicknamed him when he was in the womb. He knew no other name than “Bud”.
After high school, Bud followed his high school sweetheart to attend UCLA and swim on the swim team. He had two daughters, Lisa a veterinarian professor at the University of Wisconsin and Jodi, the Manager of a retail store in Las Vegas.
Bud married Susan Clare Irmler on December 9, 1972. Susan was the daughter of Walter Joseph and Helen. Susan ran the office of Shores Sales and management starting in the mid 1970’s.
Bud was involved in Rotary, March of Dimes and the Chamber of Commerce.
He was a Charger season ticket holder from 1967-2010. Bud was a member of the Los Rancheros horseman’s club, an avid supporter of the USS Midway and the United States military.
Bud had numerous honors and accomplishments. He was honored as Coronadan of the year, president of the California Board of Realtors, president of Coronado chamber of commerce, national register of Who’s Who, Coronado realtor of the year, President of the Coronado Association of Realtors,  president of the San Diego County Council of Real Estate boards.
